Popular Mobilization Forces Neutralize 10 ISIS Explosive Devices in Kirkuk


Kirkuk: In a security operation, the Popular Mobilization Forces detonated 10 explosive devices left behind by ISIS in the Riyadh district. A joint force from the Popular Mobilization Forces and the army carried out this operation to search and clear the Riyadh district, southwest of Kirkuk Governorate.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Popular Mobilization Forces Authority stated that the operation was based on accurate intelligence information. The Commando Regiment of the 61st Brigade in the Northern and East Tigris Operations Command of the Popular Mobilization Forces, in coordination with army units, led the operation. It focused on the vicinity of the Al-Nour residential complex and resulted in the discovery of 10 explosive devices left by ISIS.



The engineering detachment of the Popular Mobilization Forces safely detonated the devices on site. The forces completed their duty of searching the designated area within the coordinates, without recording any significant damage.
