President Stresses Coordination for Diyala’s Budget Allocation


Baghdad: The President of the Republic, Dr. Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, has underscored the critical need for cooperation and coordination between Diyala’s Members of Parliament and the Council of Ministers to ensure the allocation of the necessary budget for the province. This budget is deemed essential for the implementation of Diyala’s strategic and service-oriented projects.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, the President highlighted these priorities during a meeting with Jawad Faydhullah, the Mayor of Khanaqin, and the directors of the district’s administrative units. Diyala Governor Adnan Al-Shammari was also present at the meeting. Dr. Rashid emphasized the importance of leveraging the province’s natural resources to foster economic, social, commercial, and cultural development within the district. He also stressed the enhancement of border crossings, the regulation of trade, land reclamation, support for farmers, and the construction of dams based on modern plans to utilize rainwater for increased agricultural production.



The meeting further reiterated the necessity for a collaborative approach between the governorate’s representatives and the Council of Ministers to secure the required budget. Such collaboration is expected to significantly contribute to the execution of service and strategic projects in Diyala, enhancing the quality of life for its residents.



Additionally, Dr. Rashid called for increased attention to the education and health sectors. He advocated for the construction of more schools and hospitals and suggested conducting field visits to different districts and regions to better understand citizens’ problems, address their needs, and streamline the completion of their daily transactions.
