Amman: Jordanian Interior Minister Mazen Al-Faraya announced on Wednesday the banning of all activities of the Muslim Brotherhood, considering it an illegal association. Al-Faraya said in a press briefing: “All activities of the group are prohibited in Jordan, and any activity of its kind is considered a violation of the provisions of the law and requires legal accountability.”

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Faraya stressed the need to expedite the work of the dissolution committee tasked with confiscating the group’s movable and immovable assets, in accordance with relevant judicial rulings. He emphasized: “Membership in the group is prohibited, as is promoting its ideas, which is subject to legal accountability.”

He also announced the decision to close any offices or headquarters used by the group throughout the Kingdom, even if they are in partnership with other parties.
