Baghdad: The Houthi Ansar Allah group in Yemen announced this morning, Wednesday, the downing of a US MQ-9 drone off the Hajjah coast, northwest of the capital, Sana’a. Yahya Saree, the military spokesman for Ansar Allah, also announced in a statement the implementation of two military operations targeting the US aircraft carriers Truman and Vinson.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, this development follows the Houthis’ previous announcement that the United States had conducted four raids on the communications network in the Al-Barh area of the Maqbanah district in Taiz Governorate, south of Sana’a. The recent events signify escalating tensions in the region, with military engagements involving key assets in the area.
