Explosion in Balochistan Claims Lives of Four Security Personnel

Quetta: Pakistani police announced yesterday that at least four security personnel were killed and three others wounded in an explosion near a security vehicle in the southwestern province of Balochistan. Police official Naveed Akhtar stated that an improvised explosive device exploded near a security vehicle in the Margate area of Quetta, the provincial capital.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Naveed Akhtar confirmed that four security personnel were killed and three others wounded in the explosion. The injured were immediately transferred to the nearest medical center for treatment, while security forces cordoned off the area and began a search for the perpetrators. Interior Minister Mohsen Naqvi condemned the bombing in a statement and offered his condolences to the security forces.

The explosion coincides with an escalation in attacks in Pakistan, particularly in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan provinces bordering Afghanistan.
