Tehran: The Russian Embassy in Tehran announced on Sunday that its country will send several Russian Emergency Ministry aircraft, equipped with teams of expert specialists, to Iran to help extinguish the fire at Shahid Rajaee Port in the Iranian city of Bandar Abbas.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Russian diplomatic mission said in a statement that “in response to the call of our Iranian partners, Russian President Vladimir Putin made a decision to urgently send several Russian Emergency Ministry aircraft to Iran, equipped with experienced professionals, to help extinguish the fire at Shahid Rajaee Port.”
The Russian Emergencies Ministry said in a later statement, following the fire at the Iranian port of Rajaee, that, at the direction of the Russian President, the head of the emergency department had ordered the dispatch of two Il-76 and Be-200 TCS amphibious aircraft to the Iranian city of Bandar Abbas to assist in extinguishing the fires at Shahid Rajaee Port.
