Al-Qaim: The Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) arrested a major drug dealer in Al-Qaim, west of Anbar governorate, on Tuesday.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Popular Mobilization Commission released a statement detailing the operation. “A force from the PMF command in Anbar Governorate, in coordination with the Security and Discipline Directorate and the Anbar Sector Operations Command, was able to arrest a major drug dealer in Al-Qaim District, west of the governorate,” the statement read.
The operation led to the discovery of a large quantity of narcotics in the possession of the accused. Approximately 11,750 grams of narcotics, equivalent to 100,000 pills, were seized, along with 4,600 grams of hashish. The Commission stated that the accused and the seized items were handed over to the relevant authorities for legal proceedings.
The PMF, in collaboration with other security agencies, continues its efforts to apprehend criminals, eliminate drug sources, and dismantle smuggling and trafficking networks.
