Baghdad: Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani has conveyed Iraq’s condolences to both the government and people of Iran following the tragic fire at Shahid Rajaee Port in Bandar Abbas.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, a statement from the Prime Minister’s Media Office detailed that Al-Sudani expressed his condolences during a phone call with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian. In the call, Al-Sudani emphasized Iraq’s solidarity with the families affected by the incident and affirmed Iraq’s readiness to provide any necessary emergency medical assistance to the injured. He also extended heartfelt condolences to the Iranian people and wished for a swift recovery for those wounded in the incident.
