Tunis: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Planning, Mohammed Ali Tamim, delivered an official invitation to Tunisian President Kais Saied to attend the Arab Summit in Baghdad on Tuesday.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Ministry of Planning announced in a statement that Minister Mohammed Ali Tamim traveled to Tunisia to extend the invitation to President Saied. The Arab Summit, which is scheduled to take place in Baghdad on May 17, aims to foster collaboration and discuss pressing issues within the Arab world.

The statement further detailed that the Minister presented a written invitation from Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani. This invitation pertains to the 34th Ordinary Session of the Arab Summit and the 5th Session of the Arab Economic and Social Summit, both of which are planned for May 17, 2025, in Baghdad. The summits are expected to address economic and social issues impacting the region, with a focus on enhancing cooperation among Arab nations.
