Basra: The Basra Health Department has reported a preliminary statistic of 49 suffocation cases across the governorate due to an ongoing dust storm impacting the region.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Department issued a statement indicating that all affected individuals were treated at local health facilities. The cases varied from minor to moderate in severity, and appropriate medical care was administered to those affected.
