Baghdad: Parliament Speaker Mahmoud al-Mashhadani today directed the formation of a special parliamentary committee tasked with following up and resolving the issues of former Iraqi army retirees, ensuring their rights are guaranteed.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Parliament Speaker’s media office stated: “The committee formed by Al-Mashhadani consists of MP Ziyad al-Janabi as chairman, and includes MPs Raad al-Dahlaki, Basma Basim, Abdul Karim Abtan, Raed al-Maliki, and Moeen al-Kadhimi.”
