Intelligence Operations Lead to Arrests of Wanted Drug Dealers in Four Governorates


Baghdad: The General Directorate of Intelligence and Security arrested a number of wanted individuals, including those accused of drug trafficking, in four governorates.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Directorate stated in a statement that these arrests were made possible through accurate intelligence information. Field detachments from the General Directorate of Intelligence and Security at the Ministry of Defense executed separate operations, leading to the capture of individuals wanted on various charges, including drug trafficking and dealing.



The operations were conducted in the governorates of Baghdad, Babil, Muthanna, and Diwaniyah. During these operations, quantities of narcotics and drug paraphernalia were seized, along with light weapons. The authorities confiscated the seized items and took the necessary legal measures against the accused individuals. The arrested individuals have been handed over to the competent authorities for further action.
