Baghdad: Lieutenant General Qais Al Muhammadawi, Deputy Commander of Joint Operations, visited Tarmiyah district, north of the capital, Baghdad, on Monday.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, a statement from the command conveyed the greetings and wishes of the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces, Mohammed Shia Al Sudani, to the security units operating in the sector. The units, which include the Iraqi Army, Police, and Popular Mobilization Forces, were commended for their efforts in targeting the remaining elements of ISIS. The statement highlighted the security and intelligence work that contributed to the restoration of stability in Tarmiyah and surrounding areas.
The Deputy Commander directed the forces to maintain cooperation with local citizens, who have been instrumental in supporting the security services. He stressed the importance of teamwork and adherence to procedures within their specific areas of specialization.
During the visit, Lieutenant General Al Muhammadawi received a briefing on the key duties performed by the security units and intelligence departments in their area of responsibility.
