Umm Qasr: The Chief of Staff of the Army, Lieutenant General Abdul Amir Rashid Yarallah, conducted an inspection of the Umm Qasr Naval Base along with his delegation, overseeing operations and security measures in Iraq’s territorial waters.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Ministry of Defense released a statement detailing the visit. Upon arrival, Lieutenant General Yarallah was welcomed by the base commander and officers who provided a comprehensive briefing. The briefing included information on the dividing borders, the tasks assigned to the naval base, and the procedures in place to secure the territorial borders.

Lieutenant General Yarallah then proceeded to tour the territorial waters on warships operated by the Naval Forces Command. These vessels are tasked with supporting and backing up naval missions, supplying other naval vessels, and ensuring the security of Iraqi ports.
