Baghdad: The Ministry of Planning held a joint meeting with representatives of the World Bank, alongside officials from the Ministries of Finance and Foreign Affairs, and the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers. The meeting was part of a comprehensive review of the implementation of the Iraq Reform, Recovery, and Reconstruction Fund program.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the meeting focused on evaluating the outcomes of discussions held over the past two months. Key topics included a program aimed at enhancing public sector capacity in Iraq, a project supporting business resilience, and initiatives to improve access to finance and growth within the country.

The Ministry of Planning highlighted the review of economic diversification efforts, public resource management, financial federalism, and the second phase of financial sector reforms. Advisory services and programmatic analyses for enhancing private sector competitiveness were also assessed. Discussions covered the current state of the financial sector, debt management strategies, peacebuilding efforts, citizen engagement, and the strengthening of supervision and credit capabilities.
