Ankara: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has called upon all nations to engage in the infrastructure efforts of the development road. In a joint press conference with Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani, Erdogan emphasized Turkey’s commitment to enhancing cooperation with Iraq, a relationship that experienced significant advancement following Erdogan’s visit to Baghdad last year.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Erdogan reiterated Turkey’s resolve to continue the fight against terrorism and highlighted the substantial trade exchange with Iraq, which reached $18 billion in the previous year. He expressed a desire to further collaborate with Iraq in the electricity sector. Additionally, the Turkish President acknowledged Iraq’s stabilizing influence in the region, attributing it to the prudent leadership of Prime Minister al-Sudani.

Erdogan also noted Iraq’s constructive dealings with Syria, which contribute to regional stability. However, he voiced concern over Israel’s actions, particularly in Gaza, which he claimed are exacerbating tensions in the region. Concluding his remarks, Erdogan expressed gratitude to Prime Minister al-Sudani for his visit and extended his greetings to the Iraqi populace.
