Tehran: A 5.0 magnitude earthquake has struck the Zamanabad area in Semnan Province, central Iran, as reported by the Iranian Geophysical Center on Thursday.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the earthquake hit at 8:53 am local time at a depth of 9 kilometers. Residents in several neighboring cities, including areas around the capital, Tehran, felt the tremors. The center confirmed that there have been no reports of material damage or human casualties resulting from the earthquake.
