Gaza City: The number of Palestinian journalists who have lost their lives since the onset of the conflict in the Gaza Strip has increased to 213. This follows the death of journalist Nour al-Din Abdo in the al-Tuffah neighborhood east of Gaza City on Wednesday morning.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Government Media Office in Gaza has reported that Israeli forces are systematically targeting and killing Palestinian journalists. The office has called upon the International Federation of Journalists and the Federation of Arab Journalists to denounce these acts against media professionals in Gaza.

The office further urged the international community and relevant organizations to condemn these actions, take measures to prevent them, and prosecute those responsible in international courts. The goal is to hold the perpetrators accountable for their ongoing actions.

Throughout the offensive on Gaza, the occupation forces have reportedly targeted journalists and media institutions. This has resulted
in nearly 400 journalists being wounded, 40 arrested, and the destruction of most local and international media headquarters in the area. The situation has also led to the closure of local radio stations due to displacement, migration, and shortages of electricity and internet access.
