Tel Aviv: A missile from Yemen triggered alarms across several areas in Israel, compelling millions of Israelis to seek refuge in shelters and leading to the temporary closure of Ben Gurion International Airport, the Israeli army announced on Thursday evening. The air defenses successfully intercepted the ballistic missile, marking the fourth such incident in 24 hours following the exclusion of Israel from an agreement with the United States by the Ansar Allah (Houthis).

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the heightened tensions led to widespread panic, with the Israeli ambulance service responding to reports of minor injuries as people rushed to safety. The interception, carried out by the Israeli Arrow missile defense system, resulted in large fragments falling on settlements between Bethlehem and Hebron.

Further emphasizing the threat, US Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee remarked on the situation, stating, “We just left the shelter after sirens went off due to a Houthi ballistic missile launch.” He attributed the manufacturing of the missile to Iran, highlighting the ongoing hostilities, “Every Houthi missile is manufactured by Iran, which hates Israel and will never forget that it hates the United States.”
