Kursk: Russian President Vladimir Putin made a working visit to the Kursk Oblast in the west of the country and held a series of meetings there, the Kremlin reported on Wednesday. The visit marks his first since the region’s complete liberation from Ukrainian forces.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, during his tour, which took place yesterday, Tuesday, the president met with representatives of volunteer organizations and with the acting governor of Kursk Oblast, Alexander Khinshtein. In the city of Kurchatov, Putin held a meeting with the mayors of the region and also visited the Kursk-2 nuclear power plant under construction.

During his visit, Putin noted: “The enemy is still trying to advance towards Russia’s borders.” The visit underscores ongoing regional tensions and highlights the strategic importance of Kursk Oblast.
