Baghdad: Detachments from the Intelligence and Security Directorate arrested an antiquities dealer in Baghdad and a number of drug dealers in Babylon and Muthanna.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Directorate stated in a statement that its detachments, in a qualitative operation and based on accurate intelligence information, were able to arrest an antiquities dealer red-handed in Baghdad and seize various antiquities in his possession that he was intending to sell. The seized items were confiscated, and the accused was referred to the competent authorities.

In a related context, detachments from the Directorate arrested a number of drug dealers and promoters in Babylon and Muthanna governorates, with arrest warrants issued against them in accordance with the provisions of Article 28 of the Narcotics Law.
