Ankara: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has confirmed that Israel is facing increasing isolation on the global stage. In a statement made during his return flight from Hungary, Erdogan highlighted that Europe is experiencing what he termed an “awakening” against Israel, although he noted that this realization has arrived belatedly. He criticized Western organizations for failing what he called “the Gaza test.”

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Erdogan described the Gaza Strip situation as a dual challenge, representing both a humanitarian crisis and a test of the international system’s credibility. He warned that history would judge those who have not confronted the issue effectively. Erdogan reiterated Turkey’s commitment to standing by humanity and human dignity.

He criticized the lack of effective action from Western institutions, suggesting that their previous declarations on human rights and international law have lost significance due to their silence on Israel’s actions. Erdogan questioned how the world could remain silent while children suffer and die, equating this inaction to a form of blindness and deafness toward Gaza’s plight.

Additionally, Erdogan addressed regional issues, notably the lifting of sanctions on Syria, which he described as crucial for achieving stability. He emphasized the importance of monitoring the activities of the YPG terrorist organization in northern Syria. Erdogan stressed the need for the Damascus administration to focus on this issue, hinting that the integration of armed groups into the Syrian army is an ongoing process, with critical developments expected in the coming days.
