Baghdad: The Head of the National Wisdom Movement, Ammar al-Hakim, has called for addressing the unresolved issues between the federal and Kurdistan Regional governments. He emphasized that these matters should be resolved in accordance with the constitution and with regard to the public interest.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the media office of the Wisdom Movement reported that Al-Hakim met with Shaswar Abdul Wahid, the head of the New Generation Movement. The meeting took place in Al-Hakim’s office and involved discussions on the current political landscape and upcoming deadlines.
Al-Hakim highlighted the necessity of maintaining the current stability in Iraq and working towards transforming it into a lasting stability. He emphasized the importance of addressing the outstanding issues between Baghdad and Erbil by adhering to constitutional guidelines and focusing on the public interest. Al-Hakim also underscored the need for making concessions to benefit Iraq and to ensure the rights of all parties involved.
Furthermore, Al-Hakim stressed the significance of active participation in the upcoming elections. He urged that the competition should be based on electoral programmes designed to serve the citizens effectively.
