Baghdad: The head of the National Forces Alliance, Ammar al-Hakim, emphasized that the upcoming elections in Iraq will serve as a crucial turning point between a state of instability and a future of sustainable stability. Al-Hakim made these remarks during a meeting with a media delegation from the Arab Republic of Egypt, which comprised several opinion writers and media professionals.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, al-Hakim highlighted that Iraq is currently experiencing an unprecedented state of stability across political, social, security, and economic levels. He elaborated that various governorates in Iraq are undergoing extensive reconstruction efforts, transforming them into major development zones. Al-Hakim acknowledged terrorism as a significant challenge that Iraq has faced and underscored the importance of unity and cohesion among Iraqis.

Al-Hakim further discussed the nature of the upcoming elections, drawing parallels to the 2005 elections that laid the foundation for the current political system. He stressed that these elections are pivotal for transitioning from instability to sustainable stability.

The significance of Arab delegations visiting Iraq was also emphasized by al-Hakim, as such visits help convey an accurate image of Iraq’s reconstruction and recovery efforts. He noted that events like the Arab Summit held in Baghdad have contributed to clarifying Iraq’s image and potential on the international stage.

In addition, al-Hakim urged Arab media to adapt to modern technological advancements and place greater emphasis on the Palestinian cause, highlighting the injustice faced by the Palestinian people.
