Shiraz: Iranian Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Alireza Enayati has proposed the establishment of an economic development group that would include the Gulf states, Iran, and Iraq. This proposal was highlighted during a report by the semi-official Iranian Mehr News Agency on Friday.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Enayati delivered a speech at the Diplomatic Forum of Provinces in Shiraz, where he emphasized the importance of public communication in various economic, tourism, and trade fields alongside political relations. He pointed out that there is a significant shift in the security outlook from a geopolitical perspective to one focused on development, which is being observed in the Gulf countries. This shift, Enayati noted, presents a crucial opportunity for Iran.

Enayati further explained that Iran and Iraq, situated to the north of the Gulf, along with the six countries located to the south, could form a unified group aimed at advancing economic cooperation. He expressed optimism about the potentia
l for this proposal to enhance regional collaboration and development.
