Baghdad: The Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) announced today the arrest of a group impersonating official bodies within the organization. The arrests were made following a coordinated security operation.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the PMF stated that the Investigations Directorate of the General Directorate of Security and Discipline was able to apprehend individuals who were forging identification cards to impersonate official government bodies. The operation was executed after securing official approvals from the competent judge.
The statement from the PMF emphasized that the individuals were arrested in a meticulously planned security operation. These individuals have been referred for further investigation as the authorities continue to scrutinize the extent of their activities and the potential impact on the organization.
