Baghdad: The head of the Border Ports Authority, Omar Al-Waeli, announced the commencement of procedures for the inauguration of Mosul International Airport. This marks a significant step towards enhancing the region's connectivity and economic development.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Waeli confirmed that the Authority, under the guidance of the Prime Minister, is actively working to complete the necessary procedures for the airport's opening in collaboration with the Governor of Nineveh. The Authority has expressed readiness to provide the necessary support to ensure the airport's operational status by next June.
