Washington: Iraq’s oil exports to the United States saw a decline last week as reported by the US Energy Information Administration (IAE). This comes amid an overall reduction in crude oil imports into the US from several major countries.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the IAE detailed in a recent table that the average US crude oil imports from nine major countries amounted to 5.491 million barrels per day last week. This figure represents a decrease of 309,000 barrels per day when compared to the previous week’s total of 5.800 million barrels per day.

The IAE further reported that average Iraqi oil exports to the United States fell to 214,000 barrels per day, marking a decrease of 21,000 barrels per day from the prior week’s exports, which stood at 235,000 barrels per day.

The data also highlighted that the largest oil imports to the United States last week were from Canada, followed by Saudi Arabia, Brazil, Mexico, Colombia, and Iraq. Additionally, the table indicated that the US continues to import crude oil from Venezuela, Nigeria, and Ecuador.
