Nice: President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal, confirmed that Iraq is witnessing security stability after years of war and terrorism. A presidential statement indicated that during the President’s participation in the Third United Nations Ocean Conference in Nice, he met with the President of the Republic of Armenia, Vahagn Khachaturian.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the meeting, attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Fuad Hussein, focused on discussing the relations between Iraq and Armenia and exploring ways to deepen them in areas of common interest. The President highlighted the continued growth of these relations and the opportunities to enhance economic aspects, aiming to advance development and prosperity in both countries.

The President emphasized the importance of addressing regional tensions and crises through constructive dialogue, which could enhance peace and stability in the Middle East. He mentioned that Iraq is working with its regional and global partners to resolve crises and achieve comprehensive development.

The President also pointed out that Iraq is experiencing security stability after years of conflict, supported by its strong relations with neighboring countries and the international community, which facilitates expanded cooperation. The discussion also covered the objectives of the Third United Nations Ocean Conference, focusing on environmental protection, ocean conservation, and sustainable water resource management.

Armenian President Vahagn Khachaturian expressed his country’s interest in strengthening ties with Iraq and opening new avenues for collaboration across various sectors, emphasizing coordination on mutual concerns.
