Al-Sudani and Judge Zidan Discuss Measures to Protect Iraq’s Sovereignty

Baghdad: Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani and the Head of the Supreme Judicial Council, Judge Faiq Zidan, engaged in discussions regarding international legal strategies to safeguard Iraq’s rights and prevent breaches of its sovereignty.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Prime Minister’s media office released a statement indicating that Al-Sudani hosted Judge Zidan for a meeting where they examined the cooperation between Iraq’s executive, judicial, and legislative branches. The discussions emphasized the importance of unified efforts at this stage, particularly given the ongoing regional crises.

Both parties expressed their condemnation of the Zionist violation of Iraqi airspace and pledged their support for governmental actions aimed at taking legal stances and measures in international forums, including United Nations bodies, to protect Iraq’s territorial rights and sovereignty. They also denounced the Zionist aggression against Iran, which has contributed to escalating regional tensions.
