Al-Hassan: Iraq has succeeded in removing the specter of war from it, and I call on political leaders to work to maintain security: The Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations in Iraq, Mohammed Al-Hassan, has affirmed that Iraq has successfully removed the specter of war from its lands.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Mohammed Al-Hassan, who also serves as the Head of the United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI), made this announcement during a joint press conference held after meeting with Kirkuk Governor Rebwar Taha. Al-Hassan emphasized the importance of political leaders working diligently to preserve the security and the achievements that have been realized. He also expressed his hopes for an end to the ongoing conflict between Iran and Israel.
