Ankara: Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and his Chinese counterpart, Wang Yi, have engaged in discussions aimed at de-escalating the ongoing conflict between Israel and Iran, as well as addressing the situation in the Gaza Strip. This dialogue was part of a broader international effort to stabilize the region.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the discussion between the two foreign ministers took place during a phone call on Tuesday. The conversation focused on diplomatic efforts to ease tensions between Israel and Iran, which have been a source of significant regional instability.

On the same day, US President Donald Trump announced a ceasefire agreement between Israel and Iran. This announcement was shortly followed by a confirmation from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office that the agreement had been approved, signaling a potential shift towards peace.

In addition to the Israel-Iran conflict, Fidan and Wang Yi addressed the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip. Fidan expressed concerns about the ongoing violence and the severe humanitarian conditions faced by the people in Gaza. Both ministers underscored the importance of resolving the Palestinian issue through a two-state solution as a pathway to long-lasting peace.
