Iranian Consulate in Basra Praises Iraqi Media’s Role in Covering the War with the Zionist Entity

Basra: The Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Basra, Ali Abedi, highlighted the pivotal role played by Iraqi media in covering events during the conflict with the Zionist entity. He stressed that most journalists conducted themselves with professionalism and impartiality, particularly in Basra Governorate, where media professionals prominently covered various governmental and popular positions.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, during a joint seminar with local media outlets and their correspondents, Abedi acknowledged the contributions of those who covered pro-Iranian stances during the war. He remarked, “We are a people afflicted with patience and loyalty, and we draw our courage from our infallible leaders, peace be upon them, especially as we commemorate the jihadi school of Ashura.”

Abedi pointed out the defeat of the Zionist entity by Iranian strikes, noting that although the weapons used were old, they successfully targeted and destroyed vital enemy infrastructure.

The consul also discussed the attempts by the United States and its allies to exert control over countries in the region, including Iraq and Iran. He mentioned the Zionist entity’s strategy of inciting chaos within Iranian cities and highlighted the unexpected cohesion and rejection of aggression by the Iranian populace.

He elaborated on the impact of Iran’s defensive strikes, stating that they had negatively affected the enemy both materially and morally in recent days.

Abedi further stated that while other countries offered assistance to Iran, Tehran chose to fight the war independently, demonstrating its resilience against long-term consequences.

In his concluding remarks, Abedi praised the Iraqi public’s support, especially from the religious authority and various societal segments, which stood by Iran in its conflict against the usurping entity, known for its continued aggression towards vulnerable peoples in the region.
