Gaza Health Ministry Reports Escalating Death Toll from Israeli Bombardment on Gaza Strip

Gaza: The Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip has reported a significant increase in the death toll resulting from Israeli bombardment. Since October 7, 2023, the number of martyrs has reached 56,259, with 132,458 individuals wounded.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Ministry of Health’s latest daily statistical statement revealed that within the past 24 hours alone, 103 martyrs and 219 wounded have been received at hospitals across the Gaza Strip. The Ministry highlighted the ongoing challenges faced by emergency services, as many victims remain trapped under debris and on the streets, with ambulance and civil defense crews struggling to reach them.

The statement further detailed that since March 18, 2025, the conflict has resulted in 5,936 martyrs and 20,417 wounded. The Ministry has urged families of those killed or missing to register their information via an attached link to ensure comprehensive records are maintained.

The renewed conflict follows Israel’s resumption of military operations against the Gaza Strip on March 18, ending a fragile truce that had been mediated by Egypt, Qatar, and the United States and had lasted for approximately two months. This escalation has involved a series of intensive airstrikes and artillery shelling across multiple areas in the Strip.
