Najaf: Interior Minister Abdul Amir Al-Shammari convened a meeting with top officials from the ministry and security forces in Najaf, with the session attended by Brigadier General Muqdad Miri, head of the Ministry’s Relations and Media Department, and Najaf Police Chief Mohammed Jaber Dhiyab, through closed-circuit television. The discussions focused on the overall security situation in the governorate and detailed the security plan devised for the observance of the month of Muharram.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the meeting underscored the importance of ensuring safety and order during Muharram, a significant period for the community. The Interior Minister emphasized coordinated efforts among the various security branches to implement the plan effectively, aiming to address any potential challenges that may arise during the commemorative events.
