Tripoli: A security officer was killed and two others were wounded in clashes with gunmen in the city of Tripoli, northern Lebanon. The incident occurred during a raid conducted by the strike force of the Information Branch of the Internal Security Forces.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the violent clashes took place on Al-Miteen Street in Tripoli. The raids were part of an operation to apprehend a number of wanted individuals who had taken refuge inside an apartment. The operation led to the arrest of several suspects, albeit at the cost of one security officer’s life and injuries to two others.
