Tehran: Chairman of the National Security Committee of the Iranian Shura Council, Ebrahim Azizi, emphasized that Iran sees no benefit in maintaining its cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) due to what he describes as the agency’s continued biased policies.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, Azizi highlighted that Israel uses the IAEA’s biased and inaccurate reports as a pretext for its aggressive actions against Iran. He reiterated that Iran’s nuclear program is peaceful and adheres to the Safeguards Agreement and the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons.
Azizi further stated that Iran has consistently welcomed IAEA Director General Grossi and allowed inspections of its nuclear facilities. However, he accused the IAEA of straying from its professional mandate and becoming a political tool influenced by major global powers.
