Baghdad: On the 83rd anniversary of the founding of the Republic of Iraq Radio, Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani praised the professional careers of radio pioneers and the significant role of Iraqi radio and media in the region. During a ceremony honoring several radio pioneers, al-Sudani underscored the importance of learning from their experience and passing on their expertise to future generations. He emphasized adhering to professional, objective, and ethical principles, while maintaining a national responsibility to provide citizens with fair media coverage that accurately conveys the truth.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, al-Sudani highlighted the necessity of supporting national media in its various forms to contribute to development and reconstruction efforts across Iraq. He described national media as a vital window to the truth, enabling citizens to discern between biased news and reports that aim to undermine Iraq’s unity and its rich social diversity. Al-Sudani also noted the impor
tance of media in promoting peaceful coexistence within the country.
