Baghdad: Minister of Finance Taif Sami received Head of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate, Moayad Al-Lami, to discuss avenues for bolstering collaboration between the Ministry of Finance and the Journalists Syndicate. The discussions centered on the media’s role in supporting economic initiatives, promoting transparency, and ensuring accurate public information dissemination.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Minister underscored the significance of engaging with the press and expressed appreciation for the media’s critical role in conveying facts and boosting public financial awareness.

Al-Lami, in response, lauded the Ministry’s collaborative efforts with journalists, stressing the necessity of fostering an environment that guarantees easy access to information. He emphasized the importance of encouraging press coverage that effectively showcases financial reform initiatives and monitors government strategies with professionalism and transparency.
