Tehran: Iran has reiterated its desire for a diplomatic solution concerning its ongoing negotiations with the United States, emphasizing the crucial need for assurances regarding military actions. The Iranian Foreign Ministry stressed the importance of receiving definitive answers from the US, highlighting this as a significant factor in progressing towards diplomacy.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Majid Takht Ravanchi emphasized the need for the United States to provide assurances that military force will not be employed during the negotiation period. Ravanchi underscored the necessity of this commitment, stating that without it, Iran cannot make an informed decision regarding the future of the negotiations.

Ravanchi further elaborated on Iran’s stance towards the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), indicating that cooperation with the agency may be suspended. This decision hinges on several factors, including establishing clear steps to ensure consistent and smooth collaboration. The Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister also mentioned that Iran’s ambassador in Vienna had communicated their position to the IAEA Director General.

In a related development, US President Donald Trump announced plans to discuss the Iranian issue with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu during an upcoming visit to the White House. Trump conveyed to reporters his belief that Iran’s nuclear program has encountered a significant setback, although he expressed concerns about Tehran potentially resuming its activities elsewhere. He also criticized Iran for not agreeing to inspections of its nuclear sites or halting uranium enrichment.

Meanwhile, the Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, Major General Abdolrahim Mousavi, issued a stern warning last Wednesday, stating that any hostile actions from adversaries would be met with a more forceful response than before.
