Baghdad: Minister of Justice Khaled Shawani discussed, on Thursday, with Charg© d’Affaires of the US Embassy in Baghdad, Stephen Fagin, ways to enhance bilateral cooperation between the Republic of Iraq and the United States of America in the legal and judicial fields.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the discussions focused on identifying avenues for collaboration that could strengthen the legal frameworks and judicial systems in both countries. The meeting underscored the importance of mutual support and exchange of expertise to address legal challenges and improve judicial processes.

The talks also highlighted the potential for joint training programs and initiatives aimed at capacity building within the justice sectors of Iraq and the United States. Both parties expressed their commitment to fostering a cooperative relationship that would benefit the legal institutions and uphold the rule of law in their respective countries.
