Major Water Supply Failure Disrupts Southern Neighborhoods in Najaf


Najaf: A major water supply failure has led to a significant disruption of water services in the southern neighborhoods of Najaf. The Najaf Water Directorate has announced an emergency malfunction in the main pipeline responsible for supplying water to these areas, causing a complete interruption of running water.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, the affected neighborhoods include Al-Thawra, Al-Shorta, Al-Ansar, Al-Mu’allimin, Abu Khalid, Al-Muthanna, Aden, Al-Harfiyyin, and Al-Jadidat, as well as Al-Nour Village. The directorate’s statement emphasized the urgent need for emergency maintenance work to restore water service to these communities.



The Najaf Water Directorate has urged residents to conserve water during the outage period as the maintenance work is being undertaken. The situation highlights the critical need to address the infrastructure issues to ensure reliable water supply to the affected neighborhoods.
