Ankara: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan held a phone conversation with Austrian Chancellor Christian Stocker on Thursday, during which the two sides discussed bilateral relations, as well as regional and global issues.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, during the phone call, Erdogan stressed the need for Turkey and Austria to effectively exploit their potential in trade and investment, emphasizing the continued commitment to taking steps to develop cooperation.
The Turkish President, according to a statement by the Turkish Presidential Communications Directorate, highlighted Ankara’s efforts to end wars, stressing the need not to waste the opportunity to end the war between Russia and Ukraine.
The Turkish President warned of the humanitarian situation in Gaza, describing it as catastrophic, stressing the need to deliver urgent humanitarian aid to the region as soon as possible.
During the call, Erdogan explained that Turkey is continuing its efforts to ensure stability in Syria, noting that enhancing social and economic welfare is crucial to ensuring the return of Syrian refugees to their homeland.
