Diwaniyah: A security operation in Diwaniyah led to the arrest of two individuals, along with the seizure of firearms, drugs, and cash, following confrontations with law enforcement.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Diwaniyah Police Command revealed that reliable intelligence pointed to a group involved in drug trafficking and abuse. Acting on this information, the police commander directed the formation of a task force from the Al-gazaier Police Station. The task force swiftly executed the operation, resulting in the apprehension of two suspects.

During the operation, authorities discovered two pistols, narcotics, various drug paraphernalia, sums of money, and mobile phones in the suspects’ possession. This successful intervention underscores the ongoing efforts of the Diwaniyah police to combat drug-related crimes in the region.
