Erbil: The meeting of the political bureaus of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) and the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) kicked off this Monday morning at the Pirmam Resort in Erbil. The gathering marks a significant event in the regional political landscape, as leaders from both parties convene to address pressing issues.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the KDP delegation was led by Masoud Barzani, the party’s president. The PUK delegation was spearheaded by Bafel Talabani, the PUK’s president, and included key figures such as Qubad Talabani, Rifaat Abdullah, Darbaz Kosrat Rasul, and Nizar Amedi.

The primary focus of the meeting is to forge a unified Kurdish stance in Baghdad, with particular attention to the critical issues of employee salaries and the relationship with the federal government. The discussions aim to strengthen the position of Kurdish parties on the national stage, seeking collaborative solutions to ongoing challenges.
