Mosul: Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani emphasized the economic and developmental significance of road infrastructure. A statement from the Prime Minister’s Office announced the commencement of the second phase of the Mosul Ring Road project and the construction of the seventh bridge over the Tigris River, spanning a total of 32 kilometers.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Sudani underscored the government’s focus on enhancing road infrastructure in Baghdad and the governorates. He highlighted the role of ring roads in improving transportation between regions and their contributions to urban development and economic and commercial growth in the medium term.

The Mosul Ring Road project extends from the sixth bridge, passing through Tal Afar Road and Al-Mahalabiya Road, reaching Baghdad Road, and extending to the Tigris River in the Al-Busif area. This initiative includes constructing the seventh bridge over the Tigris River, at a total cost of 427 billion dinars. The project also encompasses building bridges on main streets and over the valleys intersected by the road.
