Baghdad: The Head of the National State Forces Alliance, Mr. Ammar Al-Hakim, received today the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Iraq, Elbrus Kutrashev, to discuss ways of enhancing bilateral relations between Baghdad and Moscow in a manner that serves the interests of both nations and their friendly peoples.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the meeting also addressed recent political developments in Iraq and the region, with both sides emphasizing the importance of continued coordination and dialogue across various fields.
Al-Hakim reiterated his call for dialogue as the primary means of resolving regional issues, stressing the necessity of adherence to international law and legitimacy in addressing regional crises.
He further noted that Iraq is currently witnessing an unprecedented level of political, social, security, and economic stability, pointing out that the country has turned into a large-scale workshop across all provinces, offering promising opportunities for companies seeking investment.
Regarding the upcoming elections, Al-Hakim emphasized their importance in consolidating sustainable stability, calling for broad, active, and informed participation to support the democratic process in the country.
