Miri: There was negligence in the Kut fire... and the law will not exempt anyone the Head of the Public Relations and Media Department at the Ministry of Interior, Brigadier General Muqdad Miri, announced: "The hypermarket project in Kut is in violation of the law and Civil Defense instructions." Miri said at a press conference in Kut: "There was negligence in the fire incident, and the law will not exempt anyone from negligence."

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Brigadier General Miri further stated that the Prime Minister has directed the closure of all violating projects. He mentioned that they have contacted the Wasit Investment Commission to investigate these projects.

He emphasized that there will be no favoritism over the blood of the victims, indicating a firm stance on accountability and justice in the wake of the incident.
