Baghdad: The Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed its condolences to the government and people of Iraq following the tragic fire that broke out in a shopping center in Wasit Province on July 16.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, in an official statement, the ministry conveyed its deep sorrow and grief over the incident, which resulted in a large number of casualties. The statement read: "We received with deep sorrow and grief the news of the fire that erupted in Wasit Province, which resulted in a large number of casualties."

The ministry further extended its heartfelt condolences to the people of Iraq and expressed prayers for mercy for those who lost their lives in this painful incident, as well as a speedy recovery for the injured.
