According to National Iraqi News Agency, this call to action was made during a meeting in Baghdad, where Al-Sudani and Rashid expressed their solidarity with those affected by the tragedy. They reiterated the government's commitment to ensuring accountability for the incident and providing necessary support to the families involved.

The leaders also addressed broader national issues, focusing on fostering cooperation among government branches and resolving ongoing disputes between the federal government and the Kurdistan Regional Government. Key topics included the handover of oil and non-oil revenues and ensuring the payment of regional employee salaries in line with constitutional and legal guidelines.

Additionally, preparations for the upcoming parliamentary elections were discussed, with an emphasis on holding them as scheduled to accurately reflect the will of the Iraqi people.
